Become a volunteer!

While becoming a volunteer is simple – there’s just three easy steps – the impact you’ll have is far-reaching and deeply meaningful. Complete the form below to sign up for a virtual volunteer orientation, pre-register to attend via Zoom, fill out a background check, and start making connections with elders and a difference in our community. Our elders can’t wait to hear from you!

Orientations listed here will take place virtually via Zoom. After submitting the form below, you’ll receive a confirmation email from a staff member with a Zoom link to pre-register for your selected orientation date. Each sign up is processed by a staff member, and your confirmation email will arrive before the orientation you’ve selected.

Orientations from October 1st through November 2nd will focus on LBFE’s volunteer opportunities to visit elders — whether in-person or over the phone — the heart of our work and a meaningful way to bring friendship to the elders we serve. All other volunteer opportunities will also be covered on a smaller scale.

Orientations on November 9th and later will focus on holiday volunteering opportunities. There are many ways to make a difference during the holiday season, our busiest time of year, as we remind elders they are loved, included, and not alone. All other volunteer opportunities will also be covered on a smaller scale.
