International Day of Older Persons

October 1

The United Nation’s International Day of Older Persons, held annually on October 1st, is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the meaningful impact and contribution of older people in our lives and communities. Just like every day, today is a good day to reach out to an elder to remind them they are remembered and cared for. This year’s theme is the Resilience and Contributions of Older Women.
