Volunteer Program Assistants

This program offers an impactful year-of-service experience that connects Volunteer Program Assistants (VPA) with 25-30 older adults in Chicago communities twice a month. VPA’s build engaging and meaningful friendships with older adults through in-home visits and a variety of activities that include parties and friendly outings in Chicago.

In addition to visiting older adults, VPAs learn and grow in a structured environment geared towards inter-personal relationship building, social engagement training, older adult programming, special project management, and event facilitation.

LBFE works with local, national, and international partners to support up to twelve VPA volunteers each year. Please contact Amy Lambert to learn more about becoming a Volunteer Program Assistant.
